Coronavirus Informational Resources March 19 2020
Well, things have gotten interesting, huh? So wild! I hope you all are healthy and calm as possible.
We are still operating for the foreseeable future.
I feel extremely grateful that our set up is already decentralized and we can continue feeding our community healthy food in this time.
Here are some of my favorite information sources on the pandemic and the science behind it:

- A science video by It's Okay to Be Smart - Why Soap Is Still Our Best Weapon Against Coronavirus.Great if you want to nerd out on what soap is doing to viruses and germs. It's more effective than hand sanitizer!

I (Susanna, the owner) am a Certified ServSafe Food Manager (that was tens of hours of online video training learning about preventing all kinds of scary illness scenarios!). And our very small team of three will be taking all our normal food safety precautions with extra vigilance.
Coronavirus is killed by heat, so if you wish you may even rinse our meal jars off and wash your hands, then heat the food for extra precaution.

How to Wash Your Hands Thoroughly:
- Wet your hands with clean running water, warm or cold, and then you can turn off the tap and apply soap.
- Lather your hands by rubbing them together with the soap. Lather the backs of your hands, between your fingers, and under your nails.
- Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds. You can hum the Happy Birthday song from beginning to end twice.That’s way longer than most people think about washing their hands.
- Then rinse your hands under clean running water. And then dry your hands using a clean towel or air-dry them.
- This is more effective than using sanitizer and preferable when there is an option.
Four Basics of Immune Boosting from Chris Kresser :
- Decrease Stress - Yoga, hot bath, go for a walk, read a book...
- Get 7-8 hours of sleep
- Exercise - you can go outside, in fact it's encouraged especially in the sun!
- Eat a nutrient-dense, whole-foods, anti-inflammatory diet.
