Local Wild Salmon!?! July 31 2016

Chowder for Summer with Our Favorite Fish!

Wild alaskan salmon we buy straight from Matt at Wild Alaska Direct, a Boulder based fisherman. This fish is from the latest catch in Bristol Bay, Alaska - the season is just finishing up there. See more on Wild Alaska Direct on Instagram here (and check us out too!).

So we know this salmon is good. We've decided to feature it a new way - simmered in a creamy broth of our house made chicken stock and infused with the flavor of rendered Beeler's bacon, organic gold potato, local Red Wagon Farm onion, organic celery, Red Wagon Farm fresh organic thyme, bay leaf, and Real sea salt. We finish the chowder with a drizzle of pastured cream, bright organic lemon zest and Red Wagon Farm organic scallion.

The brightness makes it perfect for summer eating. Order here!

We hot pack this soup so it makes a temporary seal, meaning this soup will keep fresh before opening for at least 10 days. We do this with all our soups, stews, chilis and curries now.  Order food for the whole week without freezing.
