Giardiniera Spread

A Chicago Italian Favorite. We take a variety of vegetables from as many local and organic sources as possible to create this tangy, mouthwatering medley. Cauliflower, carrot, celery, onion, garlic, bell pepper, jalapeño, and green olives are mixed in a vinegar and extra virgin olive oil mix.

From the original Giardiniera, we went a step further and chopped it down to form a spread.

The spread and the whole vegetables make an amazing addition to Back to Basics Kitchen soups. And salads, roasted meat and vegetables... you name it.

Smoked Beets with Valencia Orange - Out of inventory

We use flavorful and organic red beets - from a variety of local farms including Monroe Organic Farm, Cure Organic Farm, Full Circle Farm when available… After cooking the beets, we place them on the grill and smoke them with Cherrywood. This creates a unique and exciting new flavor to these amazing pickled beets.

We then add Valencia orange peel in a pickling liquid of white and apple cider vinegar for a brightness that synergizes with the smokiness. 

These beets are perfect on top of salads, on a charcuterie board, or all by themselves.

Smoked Beets with Jalapeños and Garlic - Out of inventory

These organic beets are smoked as above.

We then add organic jalapeños and garlic to balance the smokiness of the Cherrywood in a pickling liquid of white and apple cider vinegar.
